About me
Hello, my name is Paul, and I’m a fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist who helps clients navigate personal and professional challenges. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent 20+ years in finance and business development, which helps me understand the demands of high-performance corporate environments.
When life, career or relationships don't go as we want, it can lead to stress, worry, depression, burnout or anxiety. Which in turn affects how we are in life, work and relationships. In a confidential and non-judgmental space, we'll explore the underlying drives and anxiety, so we can break the negative cycle. With this insight, many clients feel more empowered to manage their emotions and be in control of how they respond.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to what works best for you.
I believe that you already hold the answers within you, my role is to help you uncover those answers. So you feel better equipped to deal with challenges, both now and in the future.
Getting Started / Your First Session
Feel free to contact me to arrange a free 20-minute telephone consultation. This will enable us to discuss the reasons behind you coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
No matter how limited your options may feel right now, speaking with a therapist can help you make sense of your struggles, discover new perspectives, and open the door to new possibilities ahead.
Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to my private practice, my clinical background includes experience in the NHS Mental Health Service, the Maytree Suicide Respite Centre and various other charities. I trained at CCPE (Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education). Over the years, I have supported clients with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, addiction, trauma, relationship and career issues.
I’m a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to their code of ethics and am committed to complete confidentiality, ethical practice, and utmost discretion.
