All of us at some point in life feel overwhelmed and struggle to understand and carry the weight of our feelings and experiences. This can lead us to feel that we are fighting through life all by ourselves. Sometimes we can feel lost and not know to whom in which to turn.
Talking to someone outside of your situation and who is not a family member or a friend can be useful in helping you to gain some relief, self-understanding, support and help to envision a way forward- this is what I would like to offer you.
I am a fully-qualified Counsellor, using a core person-centred approach to underpin and inform my practice- I'm aware that this can sound like Counselling jargon. This means that the direction of our sessions is determined by you the client and I may also draw upon other psychotherapeutic approaches to help me understand how you experience yourself and your world- each person is unique and there is not one therapeutic approach that suits all.
We will walk alongside each other and be with what you choose to bring- there are no expectations, your needs will be the centre of our work - I'm here to follow you.
My role will primarily be to hear you, support you and challenge you if necessary, within a safe and comfortable environment based on trust, acceptance, kindness and without fear of judgment. Sessions are open-ended, so you get to choose how long you would like to commit. Above all else, I don't claim to have any answers or be an expert of you, but I would feel honoured to be part of your journey.
Making initial contact can be daunting and also courageous. If you feel that we might be able to work together and would like to arrange a free initial consultation, then I look forward to hearing from you.
Please note: I will aim to respond to enquiries as quickly as possible by either phone (if no answer, please leave a voicemail or text message). Or email me at the address provided- firstname.lastname@example.org.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
