About me
Hello! I'm Olivia, an Integrative Counsellor working in the Stroud area. I see clients from my peaceful and private practice room in Nailsworth and also online. Reaching out to a counsellor can be daunting and so I know it can be helpful to understand a bit more about my approach. I offer a safe space where you are welcome to bring your whole self and explore what’s brought you to seek counselling at this moment in your life within a warm and empathic relationship and without judgment.
Perhaps you’ve experienced a traumatic event, a loss or just feel lost - perhaps you’ve noticed yourself in negative patterns of behaviour in which you feel stuck and would like the help of a professional to help you navigate a way out. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space in which to explore both your current issues and also your past history. Our early experiences and relationships can impact the way we view the world and our current relationships with others. Sometimes, it can be helpful to look deeper beneath our surface issues and explore potential patterns of relating and repetitive cycles of behaviour that are having a negative impact on our sense of self.
I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling and hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling, I'm also a registered member of the BACP. I have worked in placement and private practice and have extensive experience working with clients with a broad range of therapeutic needs.
I specialise in (but not limited to)
- Attachment trauma
- Anger Management
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Burnout
- Stress
- Self Esteem
- Shame

My fee is £55/hour. I can offer concessions to lower income clients and students.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
