About me

I’m Olivia, a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist working with both individuals and couples. I offer warm, nonjudgemental space for people looking to understand themselves and their experiences at a deeper level.

I work extensively with neurodivergent adults, such as those with ADHD, autism, tics and OCD, including those both who are diagnosed or self-identified. Many of my clients come to therapy having experienced feeling both “too much” and “not enough” at the same time. I aim to offer a space that understands everyone has unique experiences that leads them to who they are, while ensuring a neurodivergent-affirming space where you don’t need to justify your experience.

You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, low, or unsure why things feel so hard. Therapy can be a place to slow things down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface at your own pace. Over time, this can help things feel more manageable, and support you in responding to yourself and your life with more clarity and self-trust.

I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which means we’ll explore how past experiences may be shaping the present. This isn’t about dwelling on the past, but about noticing patterns, gaining insight, and creating more choice and agency in your life now. This can be especially helpful if you find yourself repeating familiar struggles, even when you understand them intellectually.

I also offer walking-and-talking therapy for those who find it easier to think and speak while moving, rather than sitting face to face in a room.

I’m a registered member of the BACP. I offer a free 30-minute initial meeting where we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re looking for, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. You’re very welcome to get in touch when you feel ready.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
