About me

Welcome my name is Nuala (Nu-la) I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor.
I offer short, medium and long-term counselling and psychotherapy face-to-face and online.

You may be experiencing distressing thoughts, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed with relationships/life or wish to create a space in life for yourself. Counselling can support the exploration of difficulties, thoughts and feelings. A therapeutic relationship can offer and promote access to self-awareness and emotional healing.

It is my belief that change can be facilitated in an environment that feels safe, non-judgemental and confidential.

Exploring potentially working together is through an initial conversation to gain insight on how I may support. It is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about my way of working and the therapeutic process.

*I am currently offering reduced rate supervision sessions as a supervisor in training please feel free to contact to discuss further*

Areas of experience:

I retrained as a psychotherapist after 10 rewarding years as a secondary school teacher. During my psychotherapy training I gained experience in a number of placement settings. This enabled me to gain experience of working with a wide range of mental health issues, age-groups, class, gender, race and sexuality. My placements were within the Nottinghamshire area and included; Women’s Aid, Base 51, Bilborough 6th form college and The Carers Federation. In addition to private practice, I work within the NHS mental health service.

*This member has completed UKCP Covid-19 Online Working Guidance
