UKCP Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor MSc, MA, PGDip

About me

Hello, I’m Nuala (Nu-la)  a UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Level 5 Counselling Tutor. I offer a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore whatever you’re facing whether that’s emotional distress (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem), relationship difficulties (parenting challenges, family, friends, intimate) or a desire to reconnect with yourself.

My work is Person-Centred Experiential (PCE), relational and trauma-informed, supporting self-awareness, healing and growth. I welcome adults, students and trainee therapists, offering short, medium and long-term therapy both online and in person.

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel safe to bring your whole self, your story, struggles and hopes — and be met with empathy and understanding.

I hold full professional indemnity insurance, enhanced DBS clearance and adhere to the UKCP ethical framework, with regular clinical supervision to ensure safe and effective practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m currently training in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy (PG CICS Diploma) and offering reduced-fee sessions for clients seeking support with sexual difficulties. These may include:

-Low or absent sexual desire
-Pain or penetration difficulties
-Difficulties with orgasm
-Erection problems
-Premature or delayed ejaculation
-Compulsive or problematic sexual behaviours

My practice is inclusive of all genders, sexual identities and cultural backgrounds and all psychosexual work is overseen by a CORST-accredited supervisor to ensure safe and ethical care.

Alongside private practice, I work within NHS adult mental health services and teach as a Level 5 counselling tutor. These roles enrich my therapeutic approach, blending professional experience with a grounded, human understanding of life’s complexities.
