About me
As a qualified counsellor (and a human being!), I understand what it is to navigate deep pain, find grit in the darkness, and cling to a hope that refuses to give up- even when everything else seems lost. That is the hope I bring into the therapy room, especially when you feel you've run out.
I work with adults dealing with a wide range of difficulties including; relational struggles, boundary issues and the long shadows cast by childhood experiences. I help clients connect the dots between then and now- to understand how their story has shaped them, and how they might begin to reshape it.
I draw primarily from a Person-Centred approach, blending this with all I learn through continued training, my own long-term therapy, and the very human lessons life has taught me. I believe each person is unique and therefore offer a therapy that is flexible and adapts to your needs, using different tools and methods that suit you best.
If you are looking for a counsellor who'll meet you with warmth, honesty, realness, and a 'rebellious hope'- someone who believes there is space for you just as you are, then I'd be honoured to journey with you.
I offer face-to-face and online therapy sessions, or a combination of both. I am available most weekdays and in the evenings.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Trauma Informed Therapetic Counsellor and an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
I have a background in building a successful performing arts school in a deprived area of Poole which went on to gain charitable status. Underpinning the performing arts, the charity was driven by cultivating meaningful and trusted relationships across all ages and backgrounds, overcoming personal barriers, supporting families, offering mentoring and emotional support, empowering those who felt they had no place or voice in society, building self-esteem and confidence and developing sense of responsibility for one’s choices. Creating a sense of belonging for those who had complicated, traumatic or non-existent family experiences and journeyed alongside members with various addictions. I have walked alongside those who were barely holding it together, and I carry that experience into every session I offer.
My approach is real and warm, grounded in compassion and relationship. I show up as myself, and I invite you to do the same. The focus is on building trust, and developing a sense of safety so you can be yourself. I believe that being truly seen and heard (without judgement) is where healing begins.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I work with clients struggling with a wide range of issues, many of which are rooted in, highlighted, or caused by the relationships in their lives. Boundaries, (or a lack of), play a huge part in these difficulties, leading to anxiety, depression, stress and sense of hopelessness. Together we can explore relationship dynamics and learn tools that will be helpful and empowering.
