About me
“To be deeply heard and accepted without judgment is profoundly healing.”
Beginning counselling can feel daunting, and it’s completely natural to feel anxious about taking that first step. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I am here to offer a safe and accepting space for you to do so.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with experience in both one-to-one and group settings. I work with people who may be feeling anxious, low, stuck, or uncertain, supporting them to make sense of their emotions and experiences so they can move forward with clarity and self-trust.
Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by life changes, loss, relationship difficulties, or periods of stress and burnout. My approach is grounded in the belief that when we are truly heard and accepted without judgment, healing begins. Alongside my person-centred foundation, I draw on emotion-focused and experiential approaches, gently helping you explore and understand the feelings beneath your experiences.
Our sessions are shaped by you and your needs, and I will support you in ways that feel helpful and appropriate for your journey.
If the traditional therapy room doesn’t feel right, I also offer outdoor “walk and talk” sessions. Being alongside one another in nature can feel less intense than face-to-face work and can help create a sense of movement, perspective, and calm. We can discuss whether this option feels suitable for you.
I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is central to meaningful therapy. To help you decide whether I am the right fit, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute introductory phone call. If speaking feels difficult at first, you are welcome to email or message to ask questions reaching out can feel hard, and you can do so in a way that feels manageable for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
As an experienced, compassionate counsellor, I work to provide clients with a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your inner self, offering a gentle, empathetic environment which often allows clients to gain fresh perspective, clarity, and make positive changes to their lives. I am passionate about ‘holding your hand’ to work through difficulties and have experience supporting both young people and adults with all manner of challenges. Having worked as a counsellor for various charities, I have extensive experience alongside clients navigating difficulties they want to work through.
I work in a trauma-informed way and draw on emotion-focused and experiential approaches, continuing to develop my skills through CPD in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) Tapping and Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD). I am flexible in how we work together face-to-face, walking outdoors, via video, or telephone so we can choose the format that feels most comfortable for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe the therapeutic bond between counsellor and client should allow you to feel safe enough to fully express yourself and allow healing to take place. Gifting yourself the time and space to acknowledge your feelings can majorly help in life and being the person you want to be.
