Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a counsellor in 2003 and am a registered BACP member. I have a post qualifying diploma in counselling young people. I hold level 3 certification in Safeguarding.
I have undertaken numerous CPD courses including; understanding depression and suicide, attachment difficulties in children following trauma and adoption, attachment difficulties and school, PACE parenting, Child Sexual Exploitation and Prevent amongst others. I have also undertaken some training in play therapy and Theraplay techniques. I have experience in working with young people dealing with numerous issues such as; self harm, suicide ideation, school issues, anxiety and depression.
I have experience of dealing with a broad range of work with adults including; depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues, sexuality (LGBTQI+), family relationships, workplace difficulties, ill health and many more
I also have a Diploma in Mediation and an enhanced DBS Certificate.
