Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in 2003 and am a registered BACP member. I have training in counselling young people, understanding depression and suicide, attachment difficulties in children following trauma and adoption, attachment difficulties and school, PACE parenting and safeguarding. I have undertaken introductory training in play therapy and Theraplay techniques.
I have experience of dealing with a broad range of work with adults including; depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues, sexuality (LGBTQI+), family relationships, workplace difficulties, ill health and many more.
I obtained a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Psychology and subsequently went on to obtain a Diploma in Welfare, a Diploma in Mediation and a Diploma in Counselling (BACP accredited). I have also studied MA level; social work law, life cycles and society and social work practice and interventions. I have worked in both business and education settings and now work in Private Practice.
I have an enhanced DBS Certificate.
