About me
Hello, I am Nicola, a counsellor with experience of supporting people through the challenges and difficulties that life throws at us. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
My aim is to create a comfortable, safe environment for people to explore experiences and challenges, either from the present or their past, and help them put the pieces together at a pace that suits them. I draw on a variety of approaches, working with each individual to understand what works best for them.
My approach to sessions is to be flexible and tailor each meeting to the individual’s needs, to support clients with their development in a way that is suited to them and their needs. I believe that when we create these conditions it is possible to look at yourself with new perspective and develop a greater awareness and understanding.
I'm work with a variety of issues from low mood, anxiety and grief to relationship issues and periods of change. We will work collaboratively to discover thoughts and behaviours that will help you to gain a deeper self awareness that will support you in making positive lasting change.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
