About me
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor based in Clapham, SW London and Bembridge, Isle of Wight. I understand that taking the first steps to psychotherapy can be a daunting prospect especially if you are in distress and suffering from anxiety, relationship or family issues, depression or any other stresses, and there may also be considerable anxiety about talking to someone new. I offer sessions to individuals and couples either online or in-person.
I welcome you to contact me by phone or email for an initial enquiry. I aim to respond within 2 days to see if you'd like to then arrange a first meeting where I will listen to your concerns and explain how I work therapeutically and if you’d like to continue we can arrange regular ongoing sessions.
I believe the quality of the client-counsellor/therapist relationship is the most important experience in therapy, essential to a positive outcome. I hope to build a therapeutic relationship with you that is supportive, trusting, genuine and provides a safe, secure and confidential place for you to talk openly with someone who is neutral and non-judgmental.
I offer short-term or long-term therapy to help with a variety of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, bereavement, work problems, low self-confidence, addictions, divorce or relationship issues and many other things that may seem overwhelming or frightening to you.
Psychotherapy can help us to understand and gain awareness of ourselves and why we behave in certain ways. We can become conscious of how we express and respond to different emotions, how we communicate, how we form and maintain relationships or how we manage conflict, and we can develop the capacity to change things for the better.
How I work
I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist. This means that I draw on a number of different strands of psychotherapy including psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive to create a unique way of working depending upon the needs of the individual client, but always based upon building a deep and trusting collaborative relationship with the client and using this as a supportive platform to explore your concerns with you.
I work with clients from all backgrounds, cultures, races, beliefs and sexualities. I have some reduced fee availability for students or those struggling to pay the full fee, these would normally be during the working day time, please ask for further information.
I also offer one to one supervision to both trainees and qualified practitioners.
I am a Member of the BACP and I am registered with UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapists) and abide by their ethical guidelines.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
