About me
A trauma focused specialist who has helped clients experience life changing results. I also specialise in depression, anxiety, PTSD and self-worth / self-confidence. FREE INITIAL APPOINTMENT AVAILABLE.
Hi, I’m Nicky! I’m a highly skilled, compassionate person focused psychotherapist who can support you to overcome your personal difficulties. My hope is that our relationship will develop into a comfortable yet professional place where you can be yourself and feel that I am genuine in wanting to help you to make your own choices about your life and concerns. I will not judge you and will give you the respect you deserve. Due to my friendly, empathic personality, it will provide you with the opportunity to feel relaxed and be open with me about your issues; this can feel less of a burden on yourself. We will work together to focus on your internal confusion/struggles helping you to learn to tolerate distress and regulate emotions. My practice promotes well-being, recovery, personal growth and self-discovery.
I have been practising for 13 years and my areas of expertise include; issues with self-worth and identity, anxiety disorders, depression, sexuality, PTSD, LGBTQIA+, relationship difficulties, trauma, student issues and difficulties experienced by ex-military clients.
I am an integrative therapist incorporating various modalities such as person-centred, EMDR, compassion and trauma focused therapies.
TESTIMONIALS
Nicky was amazing, made me feel super comfortable straight away and really helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was, and also helped reassure me that my feelings were valid. I would highly recommend her.
I found my experience with Nicky invaluable. She was able to guide me through a process of self-discovery with so much care and kindness. I've come away from our time working together feeling as though I have built a better understanding of myself and grown my ability for self-compassion.
Nicky has been absolutely incredible. Nicky has listened, without judgement, and supported me through my issues. Nicky has given me the tools needed to believe in myself, has massively improved my confidence and helped me deal with my childhood trauma which in turn has helped me resolve issues I’ve had in my adult life. Before starting therapy with Nicky, I was in a really dark place but after my sessions with Nicky I genuinely feel a level of happiness I’ve not felt in years. Kathryn.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
