About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, a registered member of the BACP and a Graduate Member of the BPS. I hold an MSc in Psychology and am completing an MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. I offer individual, in-person therapy for adults in Finchley, with both short-term and open-ended work available.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck, or noticing patterns in your relationships that are difficult to change. You may be struggling with ADHD, difficult emotions, relationship difficulties or the impact of earlier experiences, including trauma and abuse. Sometimes it can be difficult to understand why you feel or respond in certain ways, even when you recognise that something needs to change. I offer a calm and confidential space where we can explore these experiences together, at a pace that feels manageable.
My approach is integrative, with a strong relational and existential foundation. I pay particular attention to how earlier experiences and relationships may shape our emotional lives, our sense of self and the ways we relate to others. I also consider the connections between emotional experience, relationships and the body. I work sensitively with neurodivergence and cultural differences, adapting therapy to each person's needs rather than following a single therapeutic model.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc in Psychology and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for Adults, Children and Adolescents. I am currently completing an MA in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, a registered member of the BACP and a Graduate Member of the BPS.
My clinical experience includes working with adults, children and young people in therapeutic, educational and community settings. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, neurodivergence and complex relationship difficulties. I also have training and experience in working with eating difficulties, body image and self-esteem.
My training has a strong psychodynamic and developmental foundation, alongside relational, attachment-based, existential and trauma-focused approaches. I also incorporate contemporary psychological and neurobiological perspectives into my understanding of emotional difficulties.
My clinical experience includes assessment, therapeutic formulation, safeguarding and working collaboratively with parents and other professionals. I receive regular clinical supervision and undertake continuing professional development.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
