About me

I am an experienced Integrative Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist, offering a warm, collaborative and culturally responsive space where you can explore what is happening in your life at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with adults, children, young people and parents, supporting a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties including anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss, trauma, identity, relationships, life transitions and experiences connected to race, culture and belonging. I also have particular experience supporting people affected by pregnancy and baby loss, racial trauma, childhood trauma and sexual abuse.

You may be coming to therapy because something specific has happened, because you feel overwhelmed or stuck, or simply because life has not turned out quite as you imagined and you want space to understand yourself and consider what you would like to be different.

My approach is integrative and pluralistic, which means I do not believe that one way of working suits everyone. Together, we can think about what you need from therapy and adapt our work accordingly. Depending on what feels useful, sessions may include talking therapy, creative approaches, psychoeducation, body and nervous-system awareness, attachment and relational work, or exploring patterns that have developed through earlier experiences.

When working with children and young people, I draw upon play, creative arts and developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches alongside talking. Where appropriate, I work collaboratively with parents and carers while maintaining the young person's therapeutic space.

Central to my practice is an awareness of the whole person. I am interested not only in what has happened to you, but also in how your relationships, family, culture, identity and wider experiences may have shaped how you see yourself and the world.

Above all, I aim to offer a space where you do not have to arrive with everything figured out. We can begin with where you are.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UKCP-accredited Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and hold an MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE). I am also registered with BACP, BAATN and NCPS.

I have over 12 years' experience supporting children, young people, adults and families across schools, organisations and private practice.

My training and professional experience incorporate a range of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Integrative and pluralistic psychotherapy
  • Attachment and relational approaches
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Creative arts and play-based therapy
  • Sandtray and symbolic work
  • Somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches
  • Psychoeducation
  • Culturally responsive and intersectional practice

Alongside my therapeutic practice, I am an experienced Clinical Supervisor, providing individual and organisational supervision. I also facilitate reflective spaces and deliver training around anti-racist and culturally responsive therapeutic practice.

My ongoing professional development reflects my commitment to working ethically, relationally and with curiosity about the many different experiences and identities that clients bring into the therapy room.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

NCPS
National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

I have a limited number of concessionary spaces available for those who may find the standard fee difficult to manage. Availability is limited, so please feel welcome to enquire about concessionary rates if this would make therapy more accessible for you.

Sessions are normally weekly unless we agree otherwise.

Payment is required at least 24 hours before your appointment. For adult therapy, I operate a seven-day cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled with less than seven days' notice are normally charged at the full session fee.

If you would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss what you are looking for before arranging your first session.

Further information

Finding the right therapist is important, and I believe the relationship we develop is central to the therapeutic process.

I particularly welcome clients who may have previously felt that parts of themselves, their culture or their experiences were difficult to bring into therapy. My practice is informed by an intersectional understanding of identity, and there is space to explore race, culture, family, faith or spirituality, disability, neurodivergence, relationships and belonging where these are meaningful to you.

I also understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you are used to managing things alone or looking after other people. You do not need to know exactly what you want to talk about before beginning. Part of our work can be discovering together what needs attention.

I offer therapy to adults as well as children and young people, alongside parent consultations and clinical supervision for therapists and other professionals.

Sessions are available online and in person.
