About me

Need someone to talk to?

Hello & welcome, I work in an integrative way utilising all the best bits of different therapies to help you get the most out of sessions. I aim to create a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, friendly regular space to explore & overcome any difficulties you may be having.

I work mostly via Skype or Zoom, I understand a lot of people are put off having counselling in this way so I am now offering a free introductory session to see if this suits you.  I can offer face to face sessions in the North East (see venues below) but this is usually only for a month at a time or in Mijas, Southern Spain where I mostly reside.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I hold a current enhanced disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau.

A little about me; in the past I received counselling for anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks & depression, I found it helpful & I was inspired along with other factors to learn more about it. My first counselling role was volunteering with P.R.O.P.S in Newcastle (helping the families of people with addictions) & then also volunteering with North East Counselling Services (helping people with a variety of issues). I then went on to set up private practice renting spaces in a number of different locations in order to reach more people aiming to keep prices as low as possible to help bridge the gap between free therapy & private practice.

Thanks for checking out my page, the best way to contact me is via email,

well done on your healing journey.

Natalie

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
