About me
Need someone to talk to? Hello & welcome, I'm Natalie & I've been counselling in person & online since 2015. Understanding the mind & working out the best ways to help people help themselves is something I'm very passionate about. I like to connect the dots & spot patterns & look at why we do things, what's at the root of the behaviour etc.
What I can offer you - A warm, safe, none judgemental regular space to explore what's going on for you. I use a mixture of therapy styles because everyone's different & I believe this helps create the best outcomes. I'm also trained in life coaching, psychology, spiritual life coaching & spiritual counselling, I can offer a spiritual perspective if needed. I can work in person or online or via phone or chat.
A little about me - When I was a teenager I received counselling for anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks & depression. Some counsellors I found helpful & some not so much, so I was inspired along with other factors to learn more about it, I didn’t want anyone to feel alone & misunderstood like I had. My first counselling role was in 2015 volunteering with the charity P.R.O.P.S in Newcastle (helping the families of people with addictions) and then also volunteering with North-East Counselling Services (helping people with a variety of issues). I then went on to set up private practice renting spaces in several venues to help reach more people & bridge the gap between the NHS & private practice.
Locations - Most of my sessions are online via Skype however I do have a face to face venue at Forest Hall, Newcastle. I also offer a free online introductory video to see if we could work together.
Legal info' - I am registered with the BACP, fully insured & can provide a DBS if needed .
Thanks for checking out my page, the best way to contact me is via email & well done on your healing journey!
Natalie

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
