About me

Hello, I'm Natalie. As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a welcoming, safe space for anyone who is seeking support, I also offer an open, empathic environment for you to explore your feelings and emotions. Sometimes in life, we can feel lost, misunderstood or have trouble processing our thoughts and feelings. That's where therapy can really help, with working through challenges, empowering change, helping you to grow as a person or support you in managing difficult emotions and thoughts.

Working with Me

I understand that reaching out to a therapist may feel scary, however, it is a powerful first step in getting support, working through challenging times and taking positive action towards the person you wish to be. I work in a relaxed, non-directive way, meaning that I will adapt my way of working to suit your needs and work with what you hope to achieve from your counselling journey. I am dedicated to building trust and connection within the therapeutic relationship, which will allow space for you to open up and navigate through your difficult feelings. I offer a free, no-obligation 20 minute introductory call, so we can have a conversation about counselling and explore if I would be the right counsellor for you.

What can I help with?

I have experience in various settings as a counsellor and supervisor, and can offer support for a wide range of issues. Focusing on anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, addiction, trauma, complex early years bereavement and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. Please check out my experience and qualifications section to find out more.

Looking for a Supervisor?

I am also a qualified supervisor, and can offer support to trainee or qualified counsellors. As above, I work with my supervisee's in a supportive, non-directive way to help you explore and reflect on your practice. I offer a free, no-obligation 20 minute introductory call, so we can explore if I would be the right supervisor for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
