About me
I am an integrative therapist, working with you as you explore the issues that have brought you to counselling. Starting therapy can be quite daunting, and I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to pause and reflect – somewhere where it’s about you.
I provide a therapeutic environment where within our relationship, you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore the challenges in your life.
I work integratively, with the core of my practice based on a person-centred approach. This means we work at your pace, where you decide what you want to bring to our sessions as I recognise that you are the expert on yourself. I integrate a psychodynamic approach, exploring different aspects of your past and present, as understanding patterns and relationships helps to understand where you are today and supports your journey toward growth and resolution.
I respect diversity and difference, creating and maintaining an atmosphere of openness, trust and safety.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked with a wide range of clients with different issues and struggles, including anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem and increasing self-awareness.
My experience includes working at a Women’s Centre, receiving extensive training relating to domestic abuse, including training with a charity that supports survivors of child sexual abuse.
I also have experience working at a hospice, supporting people with their experience of grief.
- CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
- Trained facilitator in delivering psycho-educational course for adults survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
- Pregnancy and infant loss trained practitioner, including rainbow baby specialist.
- CACPD Level 3 certificate in British Sign Language - although I am unable to provide sessions purely in BSL, I am deaf aware.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Before our first session, I offer a free short call lasting roughly 20 minutes to discuss what has led you to seek therapy and what you want to work on. We will also complete a short assessment form and I will take down a few of your details. This call provides you with the opportunity to get a feel for me and a feel for our therapeutic “fit”, allowing you to make an informed decision in regard to us working together.
In our first session we will look at your expectations and what you want to achieve in more detail, building an important foundation for our work together. Your first session, like all your sessions will be about having your time and space to explore what you want to bring.
