About me
I provide counselling and coaching support to Londoners through in-person and online sessions, and work online with those based outside London.
In our sessions together, I provide calm, encouraging, and empathetic support to help you feel comfortable in working through complex feelings, thought patterns, or behaviours. For those looking to figure out their next steps or dealing with change, we may focus more on the coaching aspect of the work, with a non-judgemental, genuine, and caring approach underpinning all my work with individual clients.
I support individuals with life and career changes (including bereavement, loss, retirement, or career change), cultural adaptation, (re)discovering a sense of direction, purpose, and worth, relationship dynamics and issues, motivation, low mood and depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing, especially when dealing with uncertainty or feeling lost or stuck.
My approach integrates counselling and coaching techniques and modalities, meaning I draw on approaches from both psychotherapy and coaching to best meet your needs, context, and expectations.
I work with adults (17+), including immigrants and expats, business owners, freelancers, and creative professionals at different stages of their lives and careers.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified, integratively trained counsellor and coach with experience of working in NHS settings, solution-focused therapy, person-centred and existential therapy, life and career coaching. I have also worked as a counsellor in a service dedicated to supporting those working in the arts (e.g. writers, actors, directors, producers, artists, and arts administrators and educators).
I am a registered member (421820) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within the BACP's Ethical Framework, as well as regularly participating in professional development workshops and conferences.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London, and a Certificate in Therapeutic Skills from Metanoia Institute.
Prior to my work as a counsellor and coach, I spent over 20 years working in the cultural and creative industries, and I continue working as a strategy consultant to cultural organisations and creative businesses alongside my counselling and coaching practice with individuals.
My personal experience of migration, life transitions, career change, multicultural family and relationship context, and arts and creativity informs my work as a counsellor and a coach.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My counselling and coaching work includes one-off and regular online and in-person sessions, tailored to your needs, aspirations, and availability. I recommend starting with 4-6 regular weekly sessions and establishing the pace and frequency collaboratively for ongoing support. Counselling tends to be long-term, while coaching can be provided in a set of 4-8 regular sessions, and those session cycles can be repeated depending on your goals and circumstances.
