About me

Everyone needs a good listening to...

What is key in all aspects of working as a psychotherapist is the capacity to listen without judgment or expectation. I work in an integrative way, incorporating my training, intuition and personal experience of self-enquiry and development. Using varied approaches and creative tools when appropriate.

Creating a safe, calm space where each individual is supported in their journeys of understanding, healing and growth. Working collaboratively, and with empathy with each client is fundamental to me. I have an innate sensitivity, and the capacity to think clearly and be curious with clients as they seek to understand themselves.

I work with multiple issues including eating disorders and addictions.

I have a background working in corporate life, leading and inspiring individuals and teams to reach their potential. During this part of my career, I undertook multiple trainings centred around understanding myself, and others. This part of my life has given me a breadth of knowledge and life experience that contributes to my work now as a psychotherapist. I have also benefited from my awareness of support fellowships for over thirty years, giving me a wealth of experience, strength and hope from which I draw inspiration.

I am currently working in person, in the Surrey area (in Epsom, Headley, Godalming and Guildford) and online - via Zoom and other encrypted platforms.

What you share will always be confidential, and met with understanding, compassion and empathy. Sometimes we may find ourselves sharing a smile or laughing together.  If therapy with me is something that you feel you would like to try, then please contact me to talk about how I may help.

I offer Counselling / Psychotherapy to individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, faiths, and cultures.

I offer initial 20-minute phone or online conversations that are free of charge. This will give us the opportunity to discuss what you are looking for and if I have the appropriate experience and approach for us to work together.

Sessions thereafter are usually weekly for a 55-minute duration.

I offer short-term therapy (we will agree on the initial number of sessions together and review) or longer-term.

Please contact me to talk about fees.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I understand that life is full of experiences that may feel challenging or confusing. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, stressed, or lonely. Needing a safe space to talk about how you feel makes sense and can often be critical in helping overwhelm lessen, clarity return and alongside that a sense of well-being and peace. Therapy provides a space to think, share, reflect, and renew ourselves. It offers a unique opportunity to develop self-awareness, self-care tools, and greater understanding. This in turn offers greater choice when faced with challenges and difficult decisions or feelings.

Maybe you are struggling with family relationships or issues, or concerns in other relationships, at work, or with friends.

What you share will always be confidential, and met with understanding, compassion and empathy. Sometimes we may find ourselves sharing a smile or laughing together. If therapy with me is something that you feel you would like to try, then please contact me to talk about how I may help.
