About me
Welcome, thank you for visiting my profile. I’m a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP. My approach is trauma informed and I work relationally with clients to help them foster positive change. I provide effective online and in-person therapy for a range of issues from my private practice in Tadley and Dummer, Hampshire.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a registered BACP integrative counsellor, I work in a flexible way, drawing from a combination of therapeutic theories and techniques depending on your unique individual needs. I have trained in humanistic and person-centred therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), psychodynamic and TA (Transactional Analysis) relational approaches.

I have extensive experience of working with young people and adults of all ages and alongside my private practice, I currently work part-time for a sixth form college, providing counselling for students and staff. I hold an up-to-date DBS check, have my own insurance and am a member of the ICO.
Having worked for many years in the charity, mental health and education sectors and also in senior roles within a corporate environment, I have experience of working with clients from all walks of life.
I specialise in; trauma, unresolved childhood and relationship issues, grief, loss and bereavement, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, stress in the workplace, bullying, sleep issues, change and transition, including, dementia, menopause and tinnitus.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
I offer a limited number of concessions for clients with extenuating circumstances and reduced rates for student counsellors in training. I accept payment by bank transfer in advance or cash payment on arrival at session.
