About me

Are you feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck, struggling to access the inner resources you once relied on?

As a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist I specialise in helping people navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, loss, low self-esteem, trauma, confidence, motivation, goal setting, and more.

Whether you're seeking clarity, guidance, or simply want to enhance your overall well-being, I'm here to support you.

My passion lies in supporting people through the difficult times, helping them reconnect with their inner strength, resilience, and resources, and move towards a future that is happier, healthier and more fulfilling.

If anxiety, depression, or trauma are creating roadblocks, or if you're searching for a deeper sense of purpose, you don't have to face this alone.

Whether it's overcoming work-related stress, addressing relationship challenges, or finding new ways to manage your emotions; our work together can help you experience positive change.

I offer sessions:

  • In Tunbridge Wells centrally located in The Pantiles.
  • Online throughout the UK and abroad

How I work

I use an integrative approach which draws on techniques from psychotherapy and coaching.

By combining traditional therapy with elements of coaching I can help you look not only at where you are now and how you got to this point, but crucially, I can also help you move towards the changes you want to experience.

We can focus on deeper emotional issues and also work in more practical solution-focused ways to develop your strengths.

I also have an interest in mind-body connection, particularly in relation to trauma and PTSD, and the use of breathwork and mindfulness practices to help clients cultivate self-awareness, regulate, and live in the present moment.

Together we'll develop a way of working best suited to you and your needs.

I offer a warm, relaxed and confidential space where we can explore your situation and understand it better.  I believe that healing and growth are made possible through a trusting, safe, and fully accepting therapeutic relationship - one where you can explore your inner most thoughts and feelings.  My aim is to provide you with that relationship and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.  I bring empathy, compassion and at times, gentle challenge, to help you get where you'd like to be.

If you would like to make a change to your life but are unsure how, please contact me to explore how we can work together.

I operate a diversity friendly practice and welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities.

Benefits of working together

Clients have shared that our work has opened up new perspectives and insights, helping them better understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.  They’ve developed the ability to navigate life’s challenges more effectively. They have described feeling happier, ‘on an upward spiral’, reconnected with themselves, and more self-assured. There has been substantial personal growth and as a result, they have discovered renewed clarity and direction, allowing them to move forward with their lives with greater purpose, contentment, and joy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I started my career as an assistant psychologist for the NHS. I then transitioned into marketing and worked for over 20 years in the creative and media industries supporting senior leaders often in fast-paced pressurised environments.  I include this for those who find it relevant to know that I have first hand experience of work-related issues including stress and performance anxiety.

I’ve had lots of different experiences and worked with people from all different backgrounds. I’ve learnt that people are people, we all encounter difficulties and struggle at times. My interest is in helping individuals reconnect with their inner strength, resilience, and resources, to reach their true potential.

I am committed to continual professional development and regularly attend specialist training programmes.
