About me
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who can provide high quality evidence based psychological assessment and treatment for a range of mental health difficulties. I have over a decade of clinical experience and continue to hold senior positions in specialist NHS mental health services.
I have specialised in working with individuals affected by trauma and adverse events and utilise a range of trauma focused interventions including EMDR. I have also specialised in working with people affected by anxiety disorders such as OCD; generalised anxiety; panic attacks and phobias; social anxiety and fears around health. I have trained extensively in compassion focused approaches and can offer help to individuals who are experiencing low self-esteem and shame, or those wishing to understand more about their own relationship with themselves and how to improve this.
I am extremely passionate about the improvements that good quality psychological therapies can bring to people in distress, and I devote myself to creating a warm, safe and reassuring space for every client. I understand how challenging it can be to face your difficulties, particularly when experiencing strong emotions. It is my role to help you find your way through whatever you are facing in a supportive environment, and using well established, scientifically valid and evidenced based approaches.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and please feel free to check out my website for more information.

Further information
Please note that at this time I offer online appointments only. This way of working can be unfamiliar to some, however, I find that it allows people to access sessions who may have previously had to travel significant distances to do so. Sessions can also be accessed in the safety and privacy of your own home or private space wherever you wish and can be offered at times where other clinics may be closed. There has been a considerable amount of research investigating the efficacy of online psychological interventions which have demonstrated online therapies are as effective as face to face delivery. You can find more information on online therapy here https://www.verywellmind.com/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-online-therapy-2795225
You will need to have a device with a camera and microphone and be able to find a safe confidential space with internet access for the duration of the appointment.
Appointments are hosted on a secure patient management system (Cliniko), with a one time access link meaning your online privacy and safety are protected at all times. Further details can be provided.
