About me
Life’s path isn’t always easy to walk and we can come across some rocky roads that disrupt our emotional and physical being causing an imbalance.
The current change in the world is just one factor that may be creating, adding or altering mental states and relationships of many kinds, including friends, family, home and work life to name but a few.
I am a qualified psychotherapist and it’s my skill to help you find a way forward with your thoughts and feelings. If Counselling is new to you, you may be wondering what to expect and how it works, so I’ve put together a little bit about my story.
I initially entered therapy as a client, feeling stuck, grief stricken and not being able to see the wood for the trees. I felt my therapy time was my hour of freedom - to speak the unspeakable, and face the unfaceable. It was in this space I was truly allowed to show and feel my emotions; it's where I learned how to be true to myself.
The whole counselling journey intrigued me. I found the changes that occurred by doing this work added significant value to my life and it’s what inspired me to further study and gain my degree. We all have the potential to be more conscious of our human mind and initiate change around our thoughts and behaviours.
In our lives we will, more than likely, come across some challenges and wonder
'what ,when ,how, why?'
Emotional challenges can be overwhelming and it's not unusual to become lost and lose a sense of self. It's a little bit like being in the fog; it can be hard to see where the road is. Therapy sessions can help lift this fog to travelling a clearer path.
I believe physical illness can also occur due to unprocessed trauma. It's important these thoughts and feelings are talked about and not left unspoken to manifest physically.
Our sessions with be held in a safe and confidential space where I will listen empathically ,without judgement , and help support you in your personal journey . It is here you will learn to make your own discoveries for a deeper level of self awareness and work on your desired outcome.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
