Michele Morphitis, Founder: MA (Tavistock and Portman); BSc(Econ) (London School of Economics); MBACP
Michele is a BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor with a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock and Portman. She helps clients achieve the changes they want to see - through short, solution-focused counselling or longer-term psychotherapy.

Michele worked for 7 years at the Priory Hospital Roehampton and was the Addictions Treatment Manager until August 2017. She has considerable expertise in sourcing therapeutic solutions for a varied client base for over a decade.

The Bond Street Practice is located in a tranquil therapeutic space in the heart of Mayfair and also in Richmond and Hampton (south-west London). Therapy starts with an exploratory assessment which can uncover many issues such as stress, anxiety, depression and grief and loss.

In addition, Michele has significant experience in the field of addictions – both substance misuse and behavioural (such as relationship, financial and internet issues).

Michele can offer Skype therapy sessions – which can be useful with busy work-life schedules.

Clients have found that talking together in a couple or as a family delivers transformative changes to relationships in a short space of time.

It can help general issues relating to the pressures of everyday life through to finding a comfortable way forward after recovery from addiction or other stressful events and we can also explore any concerns relating to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.

Michele can work with dual diagnosis (e.g. underlying mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and ADHD), liaising closely with an established network of consultant psychiatrists, where appropriate.

Michele also works closely with young professionals where the presenting issues tend to be multi-layered and bound up with the logistics of a work-life balance.

At The Bond Street Practice, we believe in a holistic approach and can see the power of incorporating healthy habits into one’s lifestyle – such as yoga, meditation, personal nutrition and fitness.

In modern life, our minds tend to be busy and scattered, and grounding ourselves into a deeper appreciation of our bodies and our awareness can be a healing process – as well as making good health sense.

Every client is unique and has different needs and Michele’s eclectic approach is based on a varied work and life experience and a diverse trajectory of therapy and training.

Michele also currently works with Operation Centaur in Richmond Park (equine-assisted psychotherapy) and has worked with The Kusnacht Practice in Zurich, Switzerland - providing tailored, high-end treatment for clients - and for Start2Stop - a secondary treatment centre based in South Kensington, London.

Previously, Michele travelled widely and worked in many different settings, including 14 years at the BBC through to working with the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust (RAPt) in HMP Coldingley. This variety has made her a creative practitioner with an assortment of life skills which flavours her work.

What The Bond Street Practice offers is a menu of treatment backed by a solid team of experienced practitioners who are passionate about what they do.

Michele Morphitis, Founder: The Bond Street Practice – MA (Tavistock and Portman); BSc(Econ) (London School of Economics); MBACP

I have over a decade's experience in the field, including 7 years at the Priory Roehampton and have had a thriving private practice throughout this time.

Please call or email me to see how I can help – therapy begins with a simple conversation and continues with mutually discovered insights that enable the desired changes to take place.

At The Bond Street Practice, we meet with prospective clients for an assessment and then suggest a bespoke course of treatment which can include a full psychiatric assessment with a consultant psychiatrist, referral to a course of psychotherapy and counselling and optional links to appropriate holistic and group therapy, depending on the client's wishes.

We are connected to a network of practitioners that can provide individual and group therapy, equine-assisted psychotherapy in Richmond Park (individual, couples or group), mindfulness, meditation, yoga, reiki, personal fitness training and life coaching.

Our belief is that the mind, body and spirit are linked in a synergistic manner and at The Bond Street Practice we try to provide a wellness hub so that solid, focused psychotherapy and medical evaluation is backed by holistic support of the client's choosing.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

  • Individual therapy - flexible sessions in terms of frequency and scheduling
