About me

Do you want to make the best decisions about your relationships and career, learn from the past to make a better future, or make clearer sense of how your life has unfolded? If you are finding life difficult or confusing, feel depressed, anxious, fearful or overwhelmed, we can start where you are now.

I offer warmth, consideration and non-judgmental open-mindedness, allowing you space to set the agenda and use our relationship as a safe haven where you can make sense of your life experiences, develop confidence in your own capacities, find authenticity and learn to work in your own best interests for satisfying life.

My background is in psychoanalysis and developmental psychology. As a psychotherapist I combine the best classical and contemporary theory from across the arts and sciences. Psychology, psychoanalysis, the neuro- and social sciences help make sense of experience, but change is a creative process so the arts inform how I facilitate transformation and growth.

I create a safe and personable online atmosphere, where we can achieve a good enough sense of human presence and connection to allow therapeutic work to take place in spite of our physical separation. I take your privacy concerns seriously and do all I can to protect the confidentiality of your data in the digital environment.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
