About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and therapist working in private practice from a quiet, private space in Hackney/Islington or online. I offer an empathic, non-judgemental space in which we explore ways together to enhance your well-being, help you understand yourself better and come to terms with difficult life events. I work with the whole person and meet you where you are and according to your needs. I am trained in a number of modalities, including somatic and trauma work, and tailor our sessions together to your therapy goals.
I run a small private practice seeing clients face to face and/or online. I keep my practice small so I can focus on you and your needs. I also offer outdoor sessions in the calm of a nearby nature reserve.
When you contact me, I will offer you a free, no-obligation 15 minute phone call to find out a bit more about you. If you decide you'd like to try me out, I offer a no-obligation introductory session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have undertaken a five-year training in integrative counselling and psychotherapy at the Minster Centre in London and have a level 7 postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling. I have hundreds of hours and years of experience in private practice. I also have experience in the charitable sector and in the NHS.
I am trauma-informed and trained and I'm experienced at working with a range of issues, including anxiety and depression, anger, OCD, eating disorders, work difficulties and family and relationship challenges. I am experienced at working with clients with neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, and welcome all clients with difference.
I am expecting to complete my level 7 advanced diploma and MA in summer 2026.
Before training as a counsellor and therapist I worked for many decades in the creative industries and have a special interest in helping you access your creativity as part of your healing journey.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I have a limited number of reduced cost places from £60 and work on a sliding fee scale according to your situation. My full-cost fees start at £80, rising to £100 for some evening and/or stand alone appointments. So far as possible, I will work with you to accommodate your budget.
Further information
I work holistically and collaboratively. Studies have shown that therapy is most effective where there is a good working relationship between the therapist and the client. I see us as a team. Though respectful of diagnoses, I work with the whole person in a relational way, which means that I take account of our relationship in order to explore you and your experience. You are a unique individual and our work together will always put that front and centre. We review the work regularly to track progress and help us understand together what is most helpful.
I am trained in working with the body and incorporate this somatic work into our sessions if it is useful for you, the client. Our work together might also include creative practices or sessions in nature if that is something you wish to explore.
