About me

Hello

Have you found yourself asking "Why me?" "Why now?" "This really is so unfair".

Feeling overwhelmed by loss, uncertainty, or a life changing diagnosis can be isolating and difficult to navigate alone.

I am a counsellor specialising in anticipatory grief, loss, bereavement and supporting individuals with life limiting illness. I have a particular passion for working with adults and can provide counselling in client's own homes as well as within nursing and residential care setting in the South Manchester area.

Alongside my private practice, I volunteer for a cancer charity, offering counselling and emotional support to people facing a cancer diagnosis and their families. This role has given me extensive experience in helping individuals cope with the emotional impact of serious illness, change and uncertainty. My aim is to to help you find understanding, resilience and a way forward.

I also understand the profound impact that the loss of a beloved pet can have on both individuals and families. The bond we share with our animals goes beyond words, and their loss can bring deep grief that deserves recognition.

Everyone's journey is completely unique to them, and I believe that being heard, understood and supported can make a meaningful difference during life's most challenging moments.

Whether you are facing bereavement, adjusting to a diagnosis, coping with the loss of a cherished pet, caring for a loved one, or struggling with the challenges that later life can bring, I aim to help you find understanding, resilience and a way forward.

Flexible therapy options are available, including online sessions via Google Meet, telephone counselling, home visits, face-to-face and walk-and-talk therapy, depending on your preference.

Please feel free to get in touch to arrange a free, no-obligation consultation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
