About me

I truly believe the Talking Therapy works! I have witnessed hundreds of clients who wonder at the power of the talking therapy as they begin to feel better about themselves and the world around them...just by talking. As a person centred counsellor I do not give advice but Ido share tried and tested strategies, at times using creative activities to give clients a clearer understanding of themselves. Many 5-star reviews highlight how easy I am to talk to. Through skilled enabling and challenging clients become more and more self aware and begin to see ways through their issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Counselling gained at UHI Moray. I also have a Diploma in Education which means I am qualified to counsel children. From a primary school teacher I progressed to Assistant Head and then to two Headships from where I retired. I also delivered Counselling Skills at Aberdeen University. I have had over twenty years of experience in counselling in various settings...in doctors' practices, at Occupational Health NHS, at the neo natal unit in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and in my private work.
