About me

Need help?  Sometimes we tell ourselves that we are bad, worthless, or that we deserve what is happening. This is linked to feeling low, depressed, anxious or having low self-esteem. It can be extremely useful to have a counsellor who is able to listen out for these signs. In drawing your attention to your internal beliefs, I can help you view your experiences in a different way. You can be free from repetitive patterns, and embrace your own path.

Having someone witness our struggles and understand them is one of the best defences we can use to feel like ourselves again.

I am a qualified professional counsellor. I am a Registered Member of the BACP, the professional association for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK. The main purpose of the BACP Register is to protect the public and help them find therapists they can trust. A BACP registered practitioner adheres to high standards of safe and ethical practice. I gained knowledge through my counselling training, university degrees (La Sorbonne, Paris and Bristol, and Aix) and living internationally. I use all these experiences to help you live life to the fullest.

Why Therapy? For growth! You can change by unpacking things in a quiet and comfortable room, an hour dedicated to yourself, with a person who is fully committed and trained to be the best possible listener - and who is not connected to your life! You do not need more advice. As you feel understood and cared for, you will find yourself stronger, more confident, ready to sort out the difficulties in your life.

Navigating the complexities of a relationship can be challenging. In couples counselling, we prioritise finding solutions and learning new communication skills, rather than determining who is right or wrong.

Couples counselling aims to foster productive changes, teach effective communication, and strengthen the connection between partners. We focus on what benefits the couple as a unit, rather than individual interests.

We believe that both partners have the capacity for growth and change. With flexibility, openness to feedback, and mutual support, you can create something truly special in your relationship.

About MWT counselling:

I have honed my listening skills all my life. People I met along the way on my travels have always found it easy to confide in me – yes, sometimes it is easier to confide in a stranger. I am warm and empathetic, and I believe everyone deserves a place to be heard.

My academic background includes two master’s degrees: one in Literature and another in Business. Working in a blue-chip company, I've gained extensive knowledge of the corporate world. Beyond that, I've volunteered as a school governor and a counsellor at a Grief centre, allowing me to engage with diverse groups of people. I'm passionate about understanding human behaviour and relentlessly pursuing knowledge in psychotherapy. As an avid reader, I draw inspiration from influential theorists such as I. Yalom, E. Berne, P. Gilbert, and many others.

I draw on all those experiences when I listen to your individual story. The little bit of wisdom I picked along the way from others, it all helps understand what leading a good life means to different people.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
