About me
Hello, my name is Marta and I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, working with adults aged 18+. I offer a warm, collaborative, and relational space where you can explore life’s challenges at your own pace.
I offer in-person sessions in a therapy room at Waltham House, 18 Clyde Street, Bingley, BD16 2NT and at the Victoria Therapy Centre in Saltaire, Shipley, BD18 3LQ, where I work as an associate. I also provide remote therapy sessions online and by telephone.
I’m bilingual offering therapy sessions in English and Polish.
AREAS I CAN SUPPORT YOU WITH
Anxiety, depression and low mood - if you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or low mood, or find yourself feeling overwhelmed, tense, or disconnected from life, we can explore what triggers these feelings and how they affect your daily wellbeing. Together, we will develop practical coping strategies and small, achievable steps to restore calm, balance, motivation, and emotional resilience, helping you manage racing thoughts, low energy, and persistent worry while reconnecting with a sense of stability and hope.
Relationship and attachment difficulties -if you struggle with connection, trust, or fear abandonment, we can explore where these patterns come from and how they affect your relationships. Together, we will work on building secure ways of relating, strengthening confidence, improving communication, and developing healthier boundaries.
Domestic abuse and self-esteem - if you have experienced trauma or domestic abuse, or struggle with self-doubt, criticism, or feeling “not good enough,” we can explore how these experiences have affected your sense of safety, self-worth, and choices. Together, we will work at your pace to process difficult memories, strengthen boundaries, challenge negative thoughts, build self-acceptance, and develop confidence, fostering resilience, empowerment and a stronger sense of self.
Grief, loss and life changes - if you are facing grief, major life transitions, or shifts in your sense of identity, we can explore how these experiences impact your daily life. Together, we will process loss, clarify what matters most to you, create ways to honour what you’ve lost, and gradually adapt to change, helping you navigate uncertainty, restore stability, and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful.
MY APPROACH
Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. I will listen attentively and walk alongside you, whilst also challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we can explore the reasons behind these patterns and the ways we behave, helping you to make sense of your experiences and choices. Therapy with me can support you in building greater self-awareness, resilience, and more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others, whilst also offering tools to strengthen self-confidence, emotional resilience, and clarity. Every session is tailored to your needs.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. At the heart of my work is building a genuine therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe, understood, and supported.
EXPERIENCE
Over the past 15 years, I have worked across housing, domestic abuse and safeguarding, supporting people with diverse experiences and complex needs. This background allows me to bring sensitivity and depth to my work, particularly around trauma, resilience and relationship dynamics.
Alongside my private practice, I also work with several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), giving me experience in both short-term, solution-focused therapy and longer-term work.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
