About me
Hello and thanks for stopping by. I work with people experiencing issues including anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and depression. These often interconnect and overlap with self image, focus, motivation, and addiction.
I have a special interest in trauma, attitudes towards trauma, and how they can shape life and limit potential.
Whatever your specific issues or history, we can work together on techniques to effectively address them and reduce their negative influence in your daily life.
To start with, we'll talk about how life feels for you right now: your regular stressors and frustrations, your work and home-life, your important relationships, and your typical thought patterns.
I'll attempt to understand things as you understand them, and you'll feel completely heard. From there, we can move on to explore different approaches and options.
Everyone can address long-established thought patterns and stories of the self. As difficult as it might sometimes seem, hope is essential.
Speaking aloud to an active and professional listener, as well as a complete stranger, can have a real impact. You should never feel like a burden to a therapist, as you might to family or a friend.
I offer one-to-one sessions which are held via online video call or audio call. Please send me a message or give me a call to find out more, or ask any questions.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I'd like to use this area to state a personal idea about specialisms and types of therapy.
There are many boxes that it is possible to tick for many different conditions. You can overanalyse these as both a counsellor and a client.
Any person can bring any number of different issues, and they often overlap. Much depends on self image, self worth, and personal belief. A lot also depends on your connection with your counsellor, and how that relationship develops. It's my belief that this is probably more significant that ticking many different boxes and exploring multiple subcategories.
For me, counselling should be a fluid and organic process that evolves naturally and uniquely, as an open collaboration between the parties involved.

Further information
My initial therapeutic approach will always be person-centred, focusing on you and your experience of life right now: your typical stressors and frustrations. I'll attempt to understand things as you understand them.
From there we can explore different ideas, approaches, beliefs, techniques, and how you might apply them in everyday life.
