About me
If at times you feel overwhelmed by certain issues, events or past trauma, which leaves you feeling stuck, lost or vulnerable in life and wanting something to change, I can offer you support. Together, through therapy, we will aim to ease the mental and physical discomfort of emotions, such as anxiety, sadness, fear or anger and work towards creating a more emotionally balanced life.
I am an experienced, integrative therapist, meaning I use various therapeutic approaches to enable us to choose from a variety of skills and techniques to personally suit you. My perspective is holistic and embraces your thinking mind as well as how difficult emotions and experiences are felt and held in your body and sit with your spiritual beliefs.
I encourage you to talk as openly as feels comfortable and I listen in confidence, without judgement. I suggest ways to explore and better understand the root cause of your overwhelm and help you begin to integrate those difficult feelings to reduce their limiting impact on your life. Change often then occurs naturally, bringing a greater sense of calm, purpose, balance and harmony into your life.
Deep inside ourselves, we have the answers to all our problems. At times though, we need someone to walk alongside, to listen unconditionally, support, encourage and gently challenge us, so we can learn to connect with that knowing part of our self to find those answers. Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified, UKCP registered, Psychotherapist, with a Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London.
I am based in Wallingford, South Oxfordshire and offer weekly face-to-face meetings, up to a maximum of 26 sessions. I currently have availability.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
