About me
I am a registered Systemic and Family Psychotherapist with over six years of clinical experience across public and voluntary sectors. I work with families, groups, couples, young people, and adults facing a wide range of challenges, including mental and physical health difficulties, chronic conditions, trauma, emotional dysregulation, neurodivergence, and addictions.
My practice is grounded in supporting individuals who have been impacted by discrimination, bullying, racism, sexism, and other forms of marginalisation. I frequently work with clients navigating complex issues such as co-parenting, attachment, separation, parenting challenges, loss, infertility, infidelity, and intricate couple dynamics. Drawing on my professional background in both physical and mental health nursing, I bring a holistic understanding of the deep and often intricate connection between mind and body to my therapeutic work.
My therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, reflexive, and warm. Grounded in systemic, relational and attachment theories, I understand individuals within the context of their relationships, social networks, and cultural narratives. I am committed to creating a safe and collaborative space where people can explore relational dilemmas involving family, partners, friends, and themselves, with the aim of opening up new possibilities for connection and understanding. In my work I draw on systemic perspectives to help clients identify and shift dysfunctional interactional patterns, and co-creating more adaptive ways of relating.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Master’s degree in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy from King’s College London. Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Health Psychology. My foundational experience in mental and physical health nursing continues to inform my holistic approach to psychotherapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
