About me
I am a qualified counsellor who works with individuals experiencing life challenges such as anxiety, low mood, grief, addictions, and relationship difficulties, including feelings of disconnection from themselves and others. I offer a safe, calm space for those feeling overwhelmed, a place where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, begin to heal, and develop strategies to cope with everyday life.
Working as an integrative counsellor means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt our work to what feels most supportive for you. This can include elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and creative therapies, woven in gently and collaboratively to support the clarity and change you’re seeking. Whether we’re exploring patterns, working with emotions, or finding new ways and tools to support your growth, my aim is to offer a space that feels safe, steady, and genuinely attuned to you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BA in Applied Counselling and I am a Registered member of BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My practice adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework including a commitment to ethical and accountable practice regular supervision and continuous professional development.
Alongside my private practice, my current role at New Hope involves supporting people affected by addiction.
My work within a family‑focused charity strengthened my experience in supporting people through relationship difficulties, separation, and major life transitions, including the identity shifts and lack of clarity that often arise during these unsettling times.
My role with The Salvation Army offered experience in a multicultural community and the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life.
I hold a Current DBS, am fully insured and comply with current data protection requirements.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
