About me
I believe every individual has deep inherent dignity and that people are worth caring for. Yet we live in a world where we will suffer, some of us in deep and profound ways. I meet with many clients who have complex trauma or are working through depression, anxiety, family issues, bereavement, or stress. Many of my clients desire to meet with a therapist who shares a Christian faith and can integrate faith into the work. They all desire to experience life differently, to heal and be renewed.
I provide a safe place to be listened to and to process challenges, learning new skills to access calm in chaos. How we think, act, live and feel has an impact on both ourselves and others. Our life stories, including the people who have protected and nurtured us (and those who failed to), are a significant part of understanding how we approach the world.
My desire to walk with people through life’s challenges grew out of my own journey in finding hope amidst brokenness and difficulty. I have the privilege of helping others sort through the pain and brokenness in their stories and see them grow in hope, freedom and confidence.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a masters level (MSc, level 7) registered and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist trained in person-centered, CBT, and attachment theory.
I am also trained in specialist modalities for treating trauma and complex trauma including EMDR, DBT skills, Internal Family Systems and polyvagal theory.
Prior to my work in counselling, I provided pastoral care in Christian ministry for over a decade.
My primary goal is to help you be restored to psychological and mental health, whatever that might look like for you. You can always choose whether or not we use particular interventions or approaches in counselling. As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to each client.
I see my work as participating in the renewal of all things by bringing broken places into light, renewing hope, and restoring relationships.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
