About me

Hi, I’m Marc — and I’m here to offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever’s on your mind. Whether we meet face-to-face, online, or outdoors in the beautiful Sheffield countryside for Walk & Talk therapy, my goal is the same: to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I’m a person-centred therapist and have also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I bring a calm, grounded approach to every session. Alongside my therapy work, I’m also a parenting specialist and an accredited sleep practitioner, supporting both children and adults with sleep and routine challenges. I’m trained in bereavement counselling as well, helping children, young people, and adults navigate loss with compassion and care.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 10 years as a Police Officer. That experience gives me unique insight into the pressures faced by our Blue Light Services, and I’m passionate about supporting those who dedicate their lives to helping others.

Together, we can explore mental health concerns, personal challenges, or wellbeing goals. I’ll work with you to understand what’s getting in the way of the life you want — and help you develop coping strategies and confidence to move forward.

You don’t have to work through things alone. When you’re ready, I’m here.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
