About me
Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a passionate, empathic, down to earth integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. I am trained in various modalities to tailor individualistic therapy. I fuse theory with a creative approach to enable work at greater depth, revealing disconnected parts of self and unmet needs. I work with a trauma and attachment informed approach and feel the relationship to be at the core of our work together.
I work with those aged 16 plus.
Training, qualifications & experience
Advanced Diploma from Matrix College of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling Degree from Middlesex University.
I have over 25 years experience as a registered general nurse, including 10 years in critical care. I also have experience in mental health, including working in the early intervention team for psychosis and a low cost counselling service and I am currently a senior mental health practitioner in the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).
I have experience of working with identity and relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, addiction, neurodiversity, abuse, eating disorders and life-altering conditions.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
I am happy to work online or in person, short or long term, depending on your needs. I view counselling as a journey back to our authentic selves. By understanding how you view the world, together we can make alternative sense of it by exploring your core wounds, beliefs and constructed defence mechanisms. When in the past were they formed, what do they protect from and how do they serve in the present? The gift of therapy is self-awareness, helping you to become unstuck by recognising patterns of behaviour and facilitating growth.
