About me
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to stop by.
I’m Lynne, a counsellor based in Arundel, West Sussex. I offer face-to-face and online counselling sessions, making it easier for you to find a time that works, wherever you are in the UK.
Whatever you are going through, please know that you are not alone—even if it feels that way right now. There was a time in my own life when I wished the world would stop so I could jump off and catch my breath. Of course, the world doesn't work like that, but seeking support from a counsellor was the next best thing and I found the experience truly life-changing. If you’re struggling right now, I want you to know that you don’t have to face this alone.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety or depression, processing childhood experiences, or struggling with relationships, we can work together to navigate these challenges, build resilience, and move forward in a way that feels right for you. My goal is to help and support you to create a sense of calm, rediscover joy, and find the courage to live authentically with self-confidence.
Counselling isn’t one-size-fits-all. We are all drawn to different people and approaches, and it’s important to find the right fit for you.
If you’d like a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone or Zoom call to see whether I’m the right person to support you on your journey, please get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I work with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, as well as struggles with confidence and self-esteem.
In addition to my private practice, I volunteer with a counselling service in West Sussex that supports children, adults, and families. I have also worked with teenagers in secondary schools, helping those experiencing a range of challenging circumstances. Through these experiences, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand how offering compassion and understanding can make a profound difference for both young people and adults, helping them build self-confidence and resilience while navigating difficult situations.
I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check, always prioritising safety, trust, and professionalism in my work. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
My qualifications include:
- Certificate in Counselling Skills - CARA Counselling Training
- Certificate in Counselling Studies - West Sussex Counselling Training
- BACP Approved Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - West Sussex Counselling Training
- Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health - West Nottinghamshire College
- Certificate in Trauma Informed Counselling - Open University
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My private office is located in Arundel, with easy access to multiple car parks and public transport links. If you're unable to come to Arundel, or if it simply fits better into your life, I can also meet with you online.
Starting therapy can feel daunting — I understand, having been there myself (most, if not all, therapists have). But I can assure you, therapy works. In fact, it made such a positive impact on my life that I retrained to become a Counsellor so I could support others, like you, on their journey.
I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully supporting you in the months ahead.
