About me
Oxford-trained psychodynamic psychotherapist and Chartered Psychologist, with over twenty years in research and clinical practice.
Most people who find their way to me have already tried the other things, the strategies, the talking it through, and reached the point where insight is no longer producing relief. They are thoughtful and capable, often outwardly successful, and privately something in the life they have built no longer quite fits the person living it.
I work beneath the symptoms. Depression, anxiety and exhaustion are usually where the work begins, not where it stays.
I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, informed by attachment theory, Jungian psychology, depth psychology and somatic approaches. My clinical training includes a UKCP-accredited Master's in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Oxford University, alongside specialist training in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through MAPS and Somatic Embodiment and Regulation with Linda Thai. These trainings support my capacity to think carefully about the relationship between mind and body whilst remaining grounded in established therapeutic and ethical frameworks.
Alongside my clinical work, I continue to be involved in academic research in mental health at the University of Oxford. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at academic conferences, and continues to inform a thoughtful, ethically grounded and contemporary approach to psychotherapy.
I work with a small number of people at any one time, online. This is deliberate: the work asks a great deal of both of us, and I will not offer what I cannot fully give. I have particular experience with people who require a high degree of privacy and discretion.
I offer a free initial conversation so that you can get a real sense of how I work before making any commitment. I am also happy to discuss invoicing arrangements, including insurance and business billing.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
