About me

Combining Psychotherapy, Psychology and Coaching, I practice from an integrated approach, which involves selecting techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to a client or couples particular problem. Therapeutically, I mainly work with Polyvagal Theory, the Person-Centred Approach, Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory & Psychodynamic Theory. Psychologically, I bring a behavioural and evolutionary perspective.

As part of my commitment to further professional development, I am currently working towards full registration as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

Psychosexual therapy gives you the place to talk about your sexual self without fear of judgement or shame. I work in a pluralistic way, ensuring an understanding and exploration of the biological, psychological and social aspects of the sexual issue you may be facing.

Prior to establishing a private practice, where I currently see clients & couples from very diverse backgrounds, my clinical experience began as a trauma-informed Psychotherapist at a women's charity, working with survivors of rape, sexual violence and domestic violence.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

I am fully committed to working within their professional guidelines which are governed by the BACP Ethical Framework, the BPS Framework, the COSRT code of Ethics and practice and the BACP Coaching Competence Framework.

  • PostGrad Diploma in Clinical Sexology and Relationship Therapy (current)
  • Integrative Sex & Couples Therapy Certification
  • MSc Psychotherapy (MBACP)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
