About me
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, low mood, or stress take over. For some, it shows up in sleepless nights, low self-esteem, relationship issues, or turning to gambling, food, drugs or work to cope. Others work with me because they’ve lost their direction or sense of identity, & just want to feel like themselves again. Often the mind & body mirror each other. Stress, tension, & pain don’t just live in our thoughts, they show up in our bodies. The weight we carry emotionally often affects how we feel physically. My work helps you understand these connections, so you can find clarity, balance, & the confidence to move forward.
With 10+ years coaching, and rehab/ pain management experience, I blend counselling with body awareness. I’m passionate about helping people understand the pain they feel. Whether physical, mental, or emotional, and how tension in the body and mind connect. Working together, I help you feel calmer, stronger, confident, and in tune with yourself.
I understand from lived experience how stress, tension, and uncertainty show up in both mind and body. I work with you to gently uncover what’s holding you back, helping you reconnect with yourself. If this feels like the support you need, I’d love to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP, with my main modality being Person-Centred Therapy. I have volunteered with the charity Athletic Minds, completing over 100 hours of counselling, supporting clients through a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
In addition to my counselling experience, I hold:
- Degree/Diploma Level 4 & Level 5 in Therapeutic Counselling
- Level 3 Counselling Skills
- Breathworks-Accredited Coach
- 10 years experience as a Personal Trainer and Coach
This combination of therapeutic training, coaching, and practical experience allows me to support clients in both mental and physical wellbeing, helping them achieve meaningful and sustainable change.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
