About me
Life can be hard right? Ever feel like your struggling to cope with the day to day, like you don't feel like yourself, or that your not getting what you want from your life. Maybe your struggling to connect with the people around you, and you feel like no one really understands you. Well these are some of the many things that therapy can help with.
My name is Lucy Prokic, and I am an experienced integrative counsellor dedicated to empowering and helping individuals just like you. I work mainly with those experiencing mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, BPD and its related problems such as trauma, addiction, and family and relationship issues. I strongly believe that everyone who needs or wants counselling should have access to it, so I keep my standard rate as low as possible, and I also offer additional discounts to students or to anyone who is struggling financially at this time.
So, what is integrative counselling. Integrative counselling is an approach that embraces the uniqueness of each individual, and means I am trained in a variety of different therapeutic modalities. As such I tailor each counselling session to suit your specific needs, preferences and goals, ensuring a comprehensive and personalised experience.
What I offer
A safe and non judgemental space. I provide a compassionate and confidential environment where you can freely express yourself without fear of judgement.
A collaborative relationship. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic alliance. By fostering a collaborative relationship, we will work together to explore your concerns, uncover underlying patterns, and develop effective coping strategies.
Personalised treatment. Recognising each person is unique, I tailor my therapeutic interventions to align with your individual needs, preferences and aspirations. Your journey is yours and you are in charge, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
My ultimate goal is to empower you to overcome the challenges you face, cultivate self awareness and embrace personal growth.
Taking the first step towards positive change can be both empowering and daunting, and I am here with you to support you through this process.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
