About me
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, offering a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard, valued and understood.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or the pain of bereavement and loss, you do not have to face it alone. I work with young people (12+) and adults, supporting them through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.
My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you, offering empathy, compassion and genuine understanding, so that you can explore your experiences safely and begin to find your own answers and your own path forward.
I have extensive experience working with:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Low self-esteem and confidence issues
- Relationship difficulties and relationship breakdown
- Bereavement and loss
- Emotional overwhelm and life transitions
I also offer couples counselling, providing a supportive environment where both partners can feel heard and understood. Together, we can explore patterns, communication difficulties, and the challenges you may be facing, helping you to reconnect or gain clarity about your next steps.
My work with children and young people is grounded in patience, sensitivity and respect. I understand that adolescence can be a particularly vulnerable and confusing time, and I provide a safe space where young people can express themselves openly and without fear of judgment.
Above all, I aim to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, warmth and authenticity. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk freely, untangle your thoughts and feelings, and begin moving towards a lighter, more manageable place in your life.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change. If you are ready to explore what support might look like for you, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

Alongside my core qualification, I have undertaken additional specialist training in:
- CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
- CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.
- Level 2 Safeguarding children.
- Carolyn Springs Trauma Training.
- NHS Bereavement and loss Training
- Couples therapy
- Sex and relationship therapy
- Play therapy for children and young people.
- Full Enhanced DBS
This additional training allows me to work safely and sensitively with a broad range of emotional and relational difficulties, tailoring my approach to each individual or couple I support.
My professional experience includes working within the NHS, where I supported individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. I have also worked with charities supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, offering compassionate, trauma-informed support in a safe and contained environment.
In addition to my organisational roles, I have extensive experience in private practice, working with adults, young people and couples. This has given me the opportunity to support clients presenting with diverse and complex issues, always adapting my work to meet the unique needs of each person.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular supervision to ensure that my practice remains ethical, reflective and client-centred.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
