About me
Hello, reaching out and finding a therapist can feel daunting. I aim to make the process as welcoming and straightforward as possible. I will take time to answer any questions you may have about me, my approach, and how therapy could support you.
My approach
As a gestalt psychotherapist, I provide a safe, confidential and supportive space where we can explore what is happening in your life. Together we will focus on the issues that matter most to you, helping you develop awareness, compassion and new ways of relating.
My style is warm and welcoming. I work relationally and holistically, drawing on the three core pillars of gestalt therapy: building an authentic and empathic relationship, exploring your unique experience in the present moment, and recognising how we are shaped by our wider environment. I also work creatively with different aspects of experience, body processes, thoughts and emotions.
My approach supports you to:
- Get to know yourself in a relationship where supportive challenge leads to deeper awareness and growth.
- Work through limiting beliefs and difficult past experiences
- Develop greater self-compassion and resilience
- Recognise when old coping strategies no longer serve you
- Build a healthier relationship with yourself, others, and your environment
Issues I work with
I have supported clients with a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Perfectionism and self-criticism
- Body image and low self-esteem
- Depression and low mood
- Bereavement and loss
- Trauma
- Relationship challenges and family issues
- Shame and feelings of disconnection
Many clients find therapy helps them feel calmer, more grounded, and more able to navigate life’s challenges. As well as more comfortable in who they are and what they need and want in relationship with themself and others.
Intersectional approach
I am an Australian living in the UK, a mother, a woman, and a dyslexic practitioner with a background in the arts and community sector. I pay attention to how identity shapes experience, influencing how we are seen, related to, and understood. I take an intersectional approach that recognises the complexity of identity, especially for those who identify as LGBTQI+, are neurodivergent, or navigate racism, sexism, and other forms of marginalisation.

I offer counselling in Bristol and Bath, as well as online therapy across the UK. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly. I also provide a free 15-minute introductory call, so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
