About me
Next Chapter Counselling
Hello! My name is Lucia, and I am a Level 5 Integrative Counsellor. Here is a little bit about me and how I work as a counsellor to see if I am the right fit for you to take the next steps in your journey!
When we are ready to move on to the next chapter of our lives, this can sometimes mean revisiting some of the old ones. This can be painful, which is why I am here to turn the pages with you.
Working predominantly but not limited to bereavement, specifically suicide bereavement I have a real passion for building a safe space for clients to explore their loss without judgement and begin to build a life around their grief. Knowing what it is like to be a client experiencing both anticipatory and complicated grief, I am extremely passionate about the work I do and see it as a real privilege to go on these journeys with my clients. I am a strong believer in the quote by Carl Jung "I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become".
Grief and loss can come in many forms whether it be a bereavement, a breakup/divorce, a friendship or a job. It reshapes our world how we know it and it can be hard to see a way life will be manageable again. Having a space to sit in the messiness of the loss whilst unravelling that new normal is something I want to be able to offer you.
Previously working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, sexual violence and suicidal thoughts, I know the importance and power of a strong therapeutic relationship. I will work at your pace meeting you where you are at and walk the highs and lows alongside you. Counselling can be a tough process, and I will be there to hold those difficult feelings with you.
Let's open that next chapter, whatever it may be, together.
