About me

Hey, I'm Louise, empathic, down to earth ND fully qualified level 4 integrative counsellor. I specialise in alcohol issues & addiction, ADHD, sexual abuse, trauma, anxiety, self esteem & complex PTSD. Although I have lived experience, I never claim to know how you feel. Your feelings are your feelings. I work with you, for you. I believe everyone has the solutions inside of them. Together we can work with this in mind. We can do therapy creatively, not everyone wants to hold a mirror up, it might be too much. We can look at your story from different angles without it becoming overwhelming. You're unique, your therapy should be too.
Fully qualified integrative counsellor with a robust 20 year background in the emergency services. I work with clients to find a way of navigating their journey, tailored individually to fit the client and what they need. Through talk, creativity, sand tray, clay, cards and pens and paper, we can find a way that suits what you need.
Hey, if you're here, then you're looking for help and have taken the first step. I'm a firm believer that therapy needs to start with that relationship and we then grow and build from there. I'm very down to earth, honest, loyal and am more than happy to have a chat with you via phone or online to see if we feel we are a right fit. Then the journey begins.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
