About me

You don’t have to suffer alone. I’ve been a therapeutic counsellor for over 10 years so have a wealth of experience helping people find their way forward. I offer compassionate supportive therapy for adults who are going through a difficult time in their lives.

You may be feeling anxious, lost, bereaved, fearful or depressed. You may be struggling with low self esteem and low self worth. Talking things through can really help ease things, bringing a huge sense of relief. Together we can find a way forward in your life.

I offer a caring & safe place to talk about how you feel, a confidential environment where you can be yourself without the fear of being judged.

Exploring what's going on for you on a deeper level, making sense of situations, understanding past and current relationships, can help you get to know yourself more and find ways of coping better.

In sessions, you will be listened to with empathy and acceptance. I will support you to begin to make the changes you want in your life, then you can begin to feel more comfortable in yourself and with others. We will establish a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can have the space to process things and find more clarity.

Being fully heard and accepted by another human being can be life changing....

Of course you may not be coming to counselling with a specific issue, you may want to have a safe space that's your own each week, where you feel heard, acknowledged and seen. You may be looking for self development and awareness, getting to know yourself more on a deeper level.

In sessions, you can expect:

  • A genuine, warm, approachable and respectful environment.
  • Confidential, professional and ethical practice. BACP registered and insured. Fully qualified counsellor.
  • 10 years counselling experience.
  • Weekly one to one sessions which last for 50 minutes.

I offer short term and long term counselling for adults, in person in central Lewes, East Sussex, and online sessions from anywhere in the UK.

The first introduction session lasts for 30 minutes and is free of charge. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and find out if I'm the right therapist for you at this time.

Do get in contact for more information, or to book your introduction session. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
