About me
Hello, I know first-hand how the challenges of life can lead you to search for a specialist. Finding the right one for you at this moment in life is of key importance.
To help you decide if I'm that person, I offer a bookable free phone call of up to 20 minutes. The call gives you a chance to ask me questions, find out a bit more and if you feel to journey further, we can look at matching diaries and schedule a time to connect again.
I'm happy to meet face to face, online or even outdoors, but the most important thing I value is being able to provide you with a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental therapeutic space.
I am an integrative practitioner with a humanistic foundation and person-centred core. I’m also relationally therapeutic meaning our relationship is key. So, regardless of whether you’d like to set goals or work through a particularly difficult situation, together, we’ll work on what is important to you and at a pace that you feel comfortable with. Through compassion, warmth and a non-judgmental environment, change can occur.

Training, qualifications & experience
My psychotherapeutic experience has been gained through a wide-ranging and contrasting combination of short-term and long-term clients, met online, in-person and/or via the telephone. Although each client initially presented with differing needs, similar themes, patterns and emotions emerged, regardless of their referral source.
My natural warmth and compassionate ability to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental space has meant that I have effectively been able to counsel clients of a different age, gender, and cultural background to my own.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
