About me

"I see service through two words: connection and empathy. what you remember after any experience is how someone made you feel"

Hi im Lisa,

I am a private self employed counsellor at Therapy works Counselling and I work from my home. I am fully insured, and I am a registered BACP member.

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor with a decade of study in the field, I work with a wide range of issues and my specialist area of interest is sleep problems and insomnia.

My sessions with you are completely bespoke, meaning that I may use a range of modalities suited to your needs, however my primary ethos of practice is always person centred.

What can I offer you? I can offer you a safe confidential environment that allows you to fully express your thoughts, feelings and emotions in way that you don't feel judged. I am empathic and approachable, but not too serious in my working that makes you feel uncomfortable. I fully support the Ethos of being myself in a professional manner, in the hope that it encourages you to also be your true self.

I can work with you in both short and longterm time frames, depending on your needs and where you are on your journey. Sometimes we are unable to see what is troubling us or holding us back, but I will support you fully in your unique process and encourage and assist you in making any necessary changes you require.

If you feel I can help please call or text me for a free short telephone consultation, and if you decide you would like to work with me I can offer you an initial assessment either working 121 or online. (please note due to covid -19 I am presently offering telephone or zoom evening appointments)

Finding the right counsellor is the key to your healing success. I wish you all the luck on your journey!

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
