About me

I offer a compassionate, confidential and supportive counselling sessions which can offer life coaching skills when required.

Life can be very stressful and if this continues for any length of time it can lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, tiredness and generally feeling unwell and at a loss of what to do.

Counselling offers a safe space to talk about how you are feeling and what is bothering you. Society can some times make us feel how we are feeling and thinking is silly and we should be strong at all times.

Counselling offers a place where you are not going to be judged for these thoughts and feelings, but listened to and understood and empathised with. In time it can  offer practical solutions to help you deal with and change how you are feeling. Understanding how and why you feel and behave the way you do is a very important part of the process to changing what is currently going on in your life.

Using different techniques such as understanding how the brain works, meditation, breathing techniques and learning to be more positive in your life can have a very powerful effect on your inner happiness. And these are all very easy things to do which can make a big impact.

I have been helping people make changes in themselves and their lives for over 15 years. Having gone through this myself I feel passionately about helping others to help themselves and to become the very best version of themselves they can be. Being happy is the only thing that really matters in life and if you can achieve this others great things like jobs, homes, holidays etc will have so much more meaning and enjoyment.

The key to changing ourselves is first understanding who we are and why we think, do and behave the way we do. So much of our behaviours and thoughts are not conscious and so we repeat unhelpful or bad behaviour without ever really asking ourselves why. Counselling can look at this and provide healthy and happy changes.

I work Monday through to Wednesday during the day and work Monday and Tuesday evenings offering appointments at 7pm and 8pm. I also have Saturday morning appointments available. I charge £40.00 per session and I live on the Broomfield borders in Chelmsford.

Further information

"I cannot thank Lisa or recommend her highly enough.  Her patience, understanding, honesty and professionalism together with her lack of judgement helped me reach a place where I could truly start to understand why I was going through depression and anxiety. Through her understanding and abilities in counselling, Lisa helped me work through my problems and regain a strength of mind that I thought I had lost.  Not only am I through the depression and anxiety but I also have a renewed vigour for life and a deeper connection with my spiritual side.  Opening up to a stranger wasn’t easy but what I have achieved by doing so has been so worth it."
