About me

Are you trying to rediscover your sense of self after a controlling, toxic, or  abusive relationship? Have you been left doubting your feelings, thoughts, or worth, and wondering how to move forward?

If you are experiencing anger, anxiety, panic attacks, nightmares, flashbacks, hypervigilance, emotional exhaustion, or a sense of self-doubt, you are not alone. Trauma — including narcissistic emotional abuse — can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode, as though you are existing rather than truly living. Therapy can help you find your way back to yourself.

I am a UK-based psychotherapist specialising in trauma and narcissistic emotional abuse. I work with individuals who are in or who have already left, abusive relationships and want to break trauma bonds, rebuild self-worth, and heal the impact of long-term emotional harm. These relationships can be intimate, family, work or friendship.

As both a trauma therapist and a survivor of domestic abuse, I bring professional expertise alongside deep personal understanding. I support clients with trauma bonding, coercive control, emotional manipulation, and co-dependency. I can support you making sense of how abuse affects the mind, body, nervous system, and future relationships.

Our work together will be trauma-informed, compassionate, and work with the crossover between mental health, trauma, abuse and neurodivergence. Together, we can gently explore and process feelings of shame, guilt, fear, confusion, and grief, while helping you reconnect with your inner strength, boundaries, and sense of identity.

You deserve to feel safe within yourself again. Healing from trauma and abuse is possible.

I offer a free discovery call where we can talk informally about what you are experiencing and whether working together feels right for you. Please reach out if you feel ready to take the next step in your healing journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

I work primarily with individuals who are in, preparing to leave, or recovering from abusive family or partner relationships. I specialise in supporting you to understand and release trauma bonds, rebuild self-worth, and recover from emotional and relational abuse.

I also have experience working with a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, ill-health, attachment difficulties, neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ topics, and abuse. I work with adults, as well as young adults,  teenagers and young people aged 14 and over.

I hold a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer online therapy across the UK and in-person sessions from therapy rooms in Morley, Leeds (LS27), providing a safe, confidential, and supportive space to explore healing and reconnecting with yourself.

Seeking support when you are struggling can bring significant relief, and you do not have to face this alone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, and choosing the right therapist is a very personal decision. To support this, I offer a free online or telephone discovery call where we can talk informally about what you’re looking for from counselling and any questions you may have.

If you decide to proceed, we can discuss a suitable day and time for sessions. I currently offer both online and in-person appointments and aim to respond to enquiries promptly.

Our first session will focus on what you would like to achieve through therapy and the areas you’d like to explore. Weekly sessions are recommended to support the therapeutic process, though fortnightly sessions can be discussed if needed.

Sessions are £65 and last 50 minutes. In-person sessions take place at Leeds Treatment Rooms, Morley, LS27 9AN.
